Crafting Victory
A Digital Design Journey at Mr. Pen
My Journey as a Designer
In my role at Mr. Pen, a retail hub on Amazon, I had the exciting task of bringing over 800 out of 1,000 products to life. My responsibilities ranged from enhancing the website to creating marketing designs and packages and crafting promotional emails. Each day was an opportunity to make things visually and practically appealing and engaging for our customers, to answer their needs. Utilizing UX design principles, I single-handedly led the design process until our team reached the top 20 Amazon sellers rank in 2022.
Designing for Amazon
In the fast-paced world of online retail, I quickly learned the importance of making our products stand out. The secret? The first impression on Amazon is all about the image.
Unveiling Amazon Best Sellers
Through dedication and strategic design, I proudly contributed to the creation of several Amazon best sellers. However, the path to success was more than just creativity; it was a journey of deeply understanding our customers and the market.

Challenges Faced
Designing in a fast-paced environment presented its own set of challenges. We often found ourselves in a race against time, creating designs before even fully knowing the product we were dealing with.
The Winning Formula
-
Identifying the Product: With Mr. Pen offering a wide range of products across various categories, I began by deeply understanding each product that the company aimed to introduce to the market.
-
Setting Apart from the Rest: Exploring to uncover what made each of our products stand out from competitors.
-
Learning from Reviews: Reviews were my goldmine, revealing customers' pain points and their favorite features in similar products from competitors.
-
Designing Solutions: With the valuable information we gathered, we prepared ourselves, crafting designs to solve those problems and meet the needs of our customers.
-
Testing and Feedback: Continuing forward, I formed a group of Mr. Pen fans on Facebook, offering free products for testing to gather user feedback. This group's expansion later transformed Mr. Pen's entire advertising system.
-
Continuous Improvement: Redesigns were made based on user feedback, ensuring our products evolved with customer needs.

Success wasn’t always about solving complex problems; sometimes, it was as simple as designing something cuter than the competition.
Not Just Design, But Strategy
Crafting victory wasn't just about designing products; it was about designing success itself. Mr. Pen, our journey represented not just design, but strategy—a mix of passion, creativity, and dedication. I'm incredibly grateful to have worked alongside such an exceptional team during this journey.
